Subject: Back to life Well after two days back at work, I'm actually starting to do some do now. Prospects for finishing off the paragraph I started on Tuesday by the end of the week look promising. Got home on Monday and forced myself to stay awake, unpack, do the washing and ironing, clean the car, de-ice the freezer etc (I jest not!), and hit the sack at the normal time (ie just past midnight) ready for work the next day. Woke next morning just about in time to get to work for the default 8.30 start but so far detached from the working routine was I that I couldn't remember how to get up. Getting out of bed wasn't too bad, but the rest of that first-thing-in-the-morning automatic pilot bit where you miraculously appear at work washed, dressed, fed and watered a ridiculously short time after first surfacing had completely gone. "Sod it" I thought and went back to sleep. Getting back into the old routine more now though, worse luck, and will be following Nick's example in working off those excess beers starting right after this. Maybe. Another 'fank u daddy'/'cheers mate' to Mike for all the organisational stuff, and of course that wonderful parting hug. Hope you're still having nightmares about that (ARSENAL!). Ta to Chris for showing us Chicago, or should that be trying to get us killed. And respect to Kirsten for being brave enough to come skiing with us lot (especially Royster!). Or should that be the other way round? As for everyone else who went, good to see y'all again. Plenty of new tales to tell the grandchildren. Word of the holiday for me was definitely "Dobbo", edging the old favourite "lager" into second place. "Dobbo" just has such a ring to it that it will extremely difficult to use "Rich" ever again. 'Spose we'll have to try though. As to everyone who didn't come: doooaaahhhh! Your loss. Get ya names down for next year. Time to go and renew my airplane acquaintance methinks. Slimes out
