Subject:          'tis done!

I just felt like mailing as we finished the chip that I've been
working on ever since I started with Sony - Hoorah!  

(NB. The Geek-Speak for finishing a chip is 'taping-out' but
I've given up saying thinks like that ever since Wendy enquired
whether I'd 'launched' my chip yet ... talk about people not knowing
what us engineers do - the sum product of my work here will be
realised in 6mm square of silicon, whereas common perception would
have us driving down to Southampton docks with a bottle of fizz and
a brace of seafaring black beards singing 'yo ho ho' accompanied
by some breakdancing Intel fab workers... )

So anyway, having got that off my chest, it's kick my feet up onto
the desk time and mail everyone I know!

The LOT squash video IS on it's way (honest) and a Jonnieee tale
shall follow forthwith.

Hope everyone else is tip-top, and Chris, if you're around Friday
after next I might be in town!
