The Lards.net is run for the lards, and as an extra service to them it can now offer email aliases and a homepage. The advantage of the email alias is that while you still use your current email account, any messages sent to YourName@lards.net are forwarded onto your current email account. If you change email accounts, by moving ISPs or changing jobs let the webmaster know and your mail will be sent to your new account, ie. you do not need to change addresses, this one will last for life or as long as the Lards.net is in existence, which ever is longer.

For your homepage either write it yourself and sent it to the webmaster, or if you are HTML challenged send the text you want and any images you want to include (either as attachments or the Internet location) and it will be done for you. Your URL will be http://www.lards.net/YourName, again this is for the life of the Lards.net. Or if you already have a homepage then http://www.lards.net/YourName could just be a forwarding page to take any browser to you own current website.
If you have yet to setup up a Website of your own and want to do so, check your internet provider who will normally offer you free web space.
Subscribing to the Lards.net and receiving these 2 services costs 10 pounds sterling - only to cover the costs of providing them. Any new subscriptions are at the discretion of the webmaster, as is the content of any homepage material.
