I just saw this news on the Shropshire website:
Members of the ShropshirePanthers Baseball Club agreed to field both the Shropshire Panthers and Shropshire Pumas teams for the 2004 season at their recent AGM on 11th January 2004.
The club has also decided to switch from the Northern Conference to Divisions based in the South. The Panthers will join the Premier Division South and the Pumas will enter Division 1 South, the Pumas joining local rivals Bournville Razorbacks in their division.
Sorry board is still closed (status will be reviewed after AGM on sunday), but if anyone (incl panthers) has a comment on this email me and I`ll add it.

Re previous post, didn`t mean it to sound like a big talking point - just first piece of real news for a while. It seems a reasonable decision to me. I can`t see the travelling will be more than the proposed North Premier, and it may be an easier division (judgment based on premier final 4 last year), plus new teams to play against. Good luck we`ll follow your progress with interest - it should help on the north v south debate too! |

Well the first closed training session was well attended with about 30 players (so I`m informed) showing. Now its our first open session this sunday at noon (for 2 hrs), so every who`s contacted me (new and old) just to confirm now`s the time to turn up and have a go. |

Well as you can see the site is back up again, however in the crash they seem to have lost the data and reverted to a previous (at least 2 months old) copy, I will get it back up to date tonight. |
