I am a postdoctoral researcher on cancer biomarkers and drug resistance against molecularly targeted anti-cancer therapy. My work is funded by the pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca.

I have developed a cellular model of inducible drug resistance based on recent and exciting clinical data showing a correlation between epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) mutations in lung tumours and resistance to anti-EGFR cancer therapy. I am using this model in vitro to study new therapy options to overcome lung cancer drug resistance. Also, I am using my inducible model in vivo (xenografts in mice) to look at biomarkers of toxicity to anti-EGFR therapy.
